- Often when I'm talking to clients, I see there is a business analyst on the team and a product owner, but there isn't clarity on what their contribution to the team should be. This is very common. In Agile, the product owner and business analyst roles are the ones that typically do a lot of the analysis. They collaborate to analyze things like backlog items, customer experience, and other business and system processes to assess impacts and gaps. These analysis skills are important to making sure we're delivering value to customers. This is is a lot of work, and a lot of analysis skills for a single person, especially in today's complex environments. There are different ways to make this collaboration work, and work well.
