Know what your career goals are
- A few years ago, I was speaking at a conference and I was talking about assessing where you are in your career and getting clarity about where you want to go. After the conference, I received an email from an audience member who said, "What you shared so inspired me because I was waiting for it to happen to me instead of for me."
