To improve your travel experience, join loyalty programs for hotels, airlines, rental cars, credit cards, and other things you spend money on. Loyalty programs can have a huge impact on your lifestyle, your durability, and your performance as a consultant. Your class of service drives your comfort and your performance when you're with a client. Do as much as possible to maximize your loyalty relationship. There's a big difference between flying economy class, getting in to a tiny rental car, and staying at a noisy hotel room by the elevator where you're up all night from all the noise versus getting upgraded to first class, getting in an upgraded car, and getting an upgraded hotel room on the top floor where it's nice and quiet.
