From the course: Career Advice from Some of the Biggest Names in Business

Jesper Brodin on enjoying what you do

- When you give career advice to people, do you recommend they follow a similar path? - You know, I think we're different, right? But I think when I, particularly when I meet young people, I get the question, well, so how did I plan my career? Which I've never done. My advice is to try to enjoy what you do, and don't worry too much about next step. When I do that, I become smart, and maybe in worst case, manipulative. And that's so easy to see through with everybody, young and old, right? So I learned the hard way to kind of ignore my ambitions for the future and focus on what I do now, and try to do that well. And then I think for myself, I realize that life is a bit of the pursuit of trying to figure out what you're good at, and then if you can find a nexus between that and what you love to do, then that's happiness, right?
