- Welcome to the Writer's Room. This is where we'll be taking everything we've learned in the explanation and examples lectures and putting it into action. As I said before, the Writer's Room is named after the room on Hollywood Studio lots where a group of writers get together and develop movies and TV shows. So consider me a member of your virtual development team. I'm here to help you apply what you've learned about each beat and develop your story into the very best and most dynamic story it can be. In these lectures, which will always be labeled with the word exercise, we'll be brainstorming each beat of our own stories and step by step, developing a full beat sheet or novel road map.
