- Everybody knows how frustrating it is to be interrupted when talking. As a teacher, I've experienced that way too many times. Around the world, there's general agreement about the fact that interrupting someone who's talking isn't polite. Especially in business situations. And while there are some cultures, such as German, where the language itself prevents interruptions, since you can't understand the sentence until the end because of its construction, this is not the case in an English speaking environment. It's not unusual for some cultures to interrupt other people when they're talking. Or even for two or more people to talk at the same time. In informal situations, this happens all the time in Italy, Greece, Spain, South American countries, Egypt, and many more places. I remember reading a story in a book by Bill Bryson.
