- As a young manager, I knew that I had power in my position, but I quickly learned that relying on do what I say, because I'm your boss wasn't going to get me very far. I needed to figure out how I could leverage not just my power, but my relationships with people. How can I engage them in ways that would benefit the team and to make the organization more successful? In this video, I want to walk you through three tactics that I use that are shown through research to be most effective. One of the most widely applicable influence tactics is rational persuasion. This is what Aristotle called logos. It's the use of logic by being able to clearly argue for your points.
