- 68% of people believe wasteful meetings prevent them from getting their job done. The most empathetic steps to take first are be sure, prepared, and open-minded. Consider people's schedules and other responsibilities. Are you sure you need a meeting? If yes, who has to be there? Optional attendance for non-mandatory attendees allows them to manage their time and catch up on key points later. Send an agenda to all prospective participants to read beforehand, urging everyone to be properly prepared and respectful of everyone's time.
