- Even if you love what you do at work, you still experience stress. We all do. Think about it. Colleagues, clients, looming deadlines. That's why you have to consider and improve your stress management skills. The best way to start is to be very clear about the triggers that cause you stress. Triggers are the things that happen to you, whether or not you cause them, that lead you to feel higher levels of stress and anxiety. Unfortunately, we often avoid dealing with our known triggers. It goes like this. People experience one, somehow survive the situation, and then, just put it out of mind as if it doesn't exist until, of course, it happens again. So, let's tackle the issue head-on by identifying your most common triggers at work and in life, so grab a piece of paper or your computer and spend a few minutes writing down your thoughts as you consider each of the following.
