- As a consultant and leadership development facilitator, one of the things that I work with my clients on most is getting them to learn how and when to delegate. And in delegation, one of the primary things we need to be able to do is recognize what potential barriers exist and how to remove them. This is true about leadership in general. When you can look forward and see what potential barriers are on the horizon and remove them, or at least accommodate to them before they happen, you'll be much more likely to be successful. You'll also be appreciated more by your team and your boss. I want to identify a couple of the barriers that you should be looking out for, and some tricks on how to make sure you're preparing your team to overcome them.
