- [Instructor] Now, before you look at any MLS listed properties, be clear about your buying criteria. If you don't know what that is, get to know your market. Focusing on the right properties makes you more productive and keeps you from shiny object syndrome and trying to make anything into a deal. Document your buying criteria to help you create your MLS searches and give your field agents a solid idea of the properties you're interested in. Make sure to include this information to describe your property profile in your buying criteria. The location. That could mean the cities, zip codes, subdivisions.
