If I want to relocate, should I explain that in the cover letter?

(exciting music) - Okay you want to relocate, and wonder should you explain yourself in the cover letter? Absolutely! Employers can be really leery if they see non-local applicants, especially if they have no idea why some out-of-towner is applying for this job. Or if they don't have budget to fund a relocation package, so if you're specifically targeting another location, or planning to move there soon, say so right out of the gates in your cover letter. I'd go with something like this, as I prepare to move to Dallas I've been researching digital marketing agencies in the area. I found ABC Marketing and I love what I see! The point here is this, you want the employer to understand that you're not just randomly applying for jobs all over the country or the world, instead you have some specific reasons for approaching or ties to that geography.
