How you lead needs to change now
- A time of crisis for you as a leader reveals your true character. That's when you show your true north, the things that are really important. (peaceful music) So my name is Bill George and I've been through crises throughout the 50 years of my career, from my time at Medtronic and Honeywell, and the boards I've served on, and I hope through taking this course we can work together to make you a better leader. That's my sole goal here is to see you be able to step up and lead in a crisis. You know, it's very different leading in a crisis than anything you've been taught about management because you don't have time to make decisions, you have to be out front, sometimes you don't have all the information, no time to analyze, no time to put together a plan, you just have to lead, you have to go to your values and your intuition and those things enable you to do that. So if you can learn how to lead in a crisis, if you can do that, it's much easier leading in good times. So I hope you'll step up and lead in the crisis you're inevitably going to face during your career in leadership.
