How to talk about change with your boss

- It can be really challenging to talk about organizational change with your boss. After all, it's a fraught topic. And especially if you have questions or you may even disagree, it might feel risky to bring things up. But it's important to do so, but in a productive, rational way. And here's how. The first step of course, is to really listen to your boss, because if he or she is proposing a change that you think seems odd or questionable, maybe even bonkers, the truth is, you may not have the context that they do. So you want to ask questions and understand what trends have they been tracking? What is prompting them to suggest or to implement this change? The more you understand about where they're coming from, it's likely that the more sense that change will make. Secondly, it's important to be receptive to their feedback.
