- Okay, hear me out, it's a hiring process not a rejection process. If a company gives you an interview, that means they see something in you and if they hired someone else because that person was a better fit for whatever reason, that isn't a slight to you. You need to treat that no as a not right now and soon you will understand how to respond to a rejection the right way. Handling rejections well can be the key to getting more opportunities in the future. I've seen candidates get rejected, reconsidered down the line and then hired later. For example, once when I filled a role that we were hiring for, I had rejection emails sent out to all applicants.
