- A cluttered email inbox leads to a cluttered mind. One of the fundamental yet overlooked aspects of being productive is organizing your digital workflow. Every time you have to dig around for a lost document or have to do 20 clicks to access a folder you are wasting valuable time. So let me introduce you to an email label and folder system that certainly helps me prioritize and file emails easily. And of course you can tailor this as needed for your business and for your workflow. So upon checking my inbox, I evaluate what is urgent, label and file each email accordingly, and then I take action. I like to use this flow chart along with folders labeled with terms inspired by the VIP checklist method to create this really simple structure.
