- [Narrator] So let's get into the how of networking. Here are some specific practices that you can use before, during, and after a meeting. So if we start with before, the first thing is making a target list of people that you'd like to meet. LinkedIn is great for this, but also even just people within your own company who you really admire and respect, and would love to have a coffee with, add them to the list. It's really important to get a warm introduction, and again, I think LinkedIn is a great way to do this because you can see if you have a mutual connection with the person, you can ask for an introduction. And also the thing that I found to be super helpful is if you actually write the forwardable email that the person can basically just take it, copy and paste it, and send it to the other person to see if they would be open to an introduction.
