How to manage an extroverted boss

- The extrovert boss is both a blessing and a curse. While extroverts, of course, make great bosses, they can also be a little draining and exhausting, especially if their extroversion is too high or yours is too low. Let's review a couple of key characteristics of the extrovert, so you know whether or not you're dealing with one. First of all, extroverts are energized from outside, the outside world, the world of people, interaction, and activity. They have what we call a higher threshold for external stimulation. Do extroverts need alone time to recharge? Of course they do. They just won't need it as abundantly or as frequently as introverts. Also, extroverts tend to do this thing called external processing, which means they actually think better when they think out loud. And finally, extroverts like to move into action quickly.
