- So how do you make sure you have money designated for fun in your budget? For me, I love knowing that I have a pot of cash available that if I want to go on a girl's weekend, I can, or for my husband, he loves knowing that if he wants to buy a guitar, that we have some money set aside for something like that. I want to help you bring your fun account to life so that you have a pot of money dedicated to guilt-free spending too. So first, take a look at your budget, at your income, expenses, and how much you're putting towards your goals each month. Carve out an amount that can be used for fun. If you're having trouble finding room in your monthly budget for that, consider using a percentage of every bonus or commission check that you receive, or maybe a percentage of income from a side gig, put that towards your fun account.
