How to have fewer better meetings

- Meetings are one of the major time stealers at work, taking up an average of two days a week, of which half is often irrelevant and unnecessary. We've all spent hours in meetings where the content is not relevant and there's little participation and engagement. However, the good news is that it doesn't need to be that way. My name's Kevan Hall, and I've participated in and run thousands of meetings. Since I founded my own business 25 years ago, I've had the opportunity to radically change the way we and our clients run meetings and to try out new ideas. I've been able to cut out an awful lot of meetings. Together with my colleague Alan, we wrote the book "Kill Bad Meetings," and we're going to show you how to significantly reduce the number of meetings you attend and improve the quality of the ones that remain. In an era where we have an increasing number of virtual meetings, these techniques are equally relevant to both face-to-face and virtual meetings. Some of the ideas in this program will represent quite a change from established ways of working, and it may be worth asking your colleagues to join the program too so they get the same insights and ideas. Changing meetings is a collaborative effort, and we need to change decades of poor practice and low expectations. We look forward to working with you and helping you reduce the number and improve the quality of your meetings.
