- Once you decide on the type or types of recruiters that may best serve your needs, I would start reaching out. I think this is a really foreign concept to a lot of people because they assume that they need to wait around for a recruiter to contact them. This isn't the case. You can go about this proactively, in fact, you should. When it comes to internal recruiters, here's where you might start. Head over to LinkedIn. In the search box, enter the company name, and either recruiter or talent acquisition, and then, see what comes up. In a smaller company, you might find one or two people. If it's a large company, and they have a lot of internal recruiters, you might need to add more search terms like North America or talent acquisition engineering, and then, you can decide who you might want to reach out to first.
