How do you build high-performing teams?

- One of the best things you can do to help your project go well is to build a high performing team. Of course your team needs to be clear on project priorities and expectations, and the roles and responsibilities of the team members, but a really high performing team starts with having good relationships. There are five key elements to developing good relationships with your team. First, work to establish rapport. Rapport is a harmonious relationship with people. It doesn't happen in an instant, but you can take steps to foster it. For example, find commonalities with your team members, such as sports you enjoy, favorite foods, or interests. I really like animals, so when I meet people, I always ask, do you have any pets? Really, people like to talk about their pets as much as they do their kids.
