- Have you ever been in a job and found yourself saying, "Am I wasting my time here?" That happens when you feel you've stopped learning and growing and becoming a better version of yourself. It drains a fundamental sense of meaning from your job. Leaders everywhere can avoid this happening in their shop by using what I call the learning ladder, five steps you can take to quickly craft a learning environment. Let's start climbing. First, hold learning opportunities for your organization sacred. The number one leading indicator that an organization will be rated as meaning-rich and fulfilling by employees is whether or not leaders in that organization consistently show commitment to the importance of learning.
