- Teamwork makes the dream work. It is so important to remember that we are an important part of any work team. The administrative support professional is often the glue that can play a pivotal role in bringing the team closer and more united than ever before. It will be the daily things that you do that will help to force the camaraderie, trust, and a positive atmosphere for your office environment. Take the time in the interview to share past experiences where you have been instrumental in helping to bring your team of professionals together. How has what you have done contributed to the overall team success? What is the value that you will bring to the organization in this area? How can you serve as a bridge-builder and confidant for the people that you support? Your answers to these questions will shed light to your interviewers for why they need you on their team, now. Interviewers want to know that you can be an employee who increases positive morale in the office. Share your ideas on how you've done that in the past. Show how you use your emotional intelligence to connect with your coworkers and those you are supporting. Let your cooperative spirit shine. This will be the type of team member they are looking to add. Now is the time for your personality to shine. Let them see how you can add to their current team and make it even better. Show that you have what it takes to be a vital addition, especially when uncertain times hit. That's when you will be needed the most, to help the team stay on track and stay focused.
