- Analysis skills are not only important before launching a campaign, but afterwards too. This is where the interviewer is reviewing your analytical skills as you discuss how to measure the success of a campaign after it's over. You'll want to share how you embrace quantitative reasoning, which is basically drawing conclusions about the impact of a campaign based on the available data. I'd kick off your answer by drawing on a specific experience relevant to the role. Choose a campaign you worked on and explain the key details to quickly provide the right context. Make sure you can summarize the campaign easily in a few sentences as it's less about the moving parts of this initiative and more about how you measured its performance. As you fast-forward through those details, outline each step of the process you took to logically and comprehensively measure the campaign. You might mention the tools and reports you referenced to figure out what happened, discuss the specific metrics you're reviewing for each goal, or the benchmarks you have in mind to compare and contrast your progress over the last quarter. Finally, give examples that include specific data points throughout your explanation. Again, you don't want to get overly complicated here, but it is important to mention the key data points from the campaign, which will be related to the goals of the initiative and the outcome of your efforts. Like discussing that you noticed a 5% increase in search traffic this quarter due to the latest campaign, which led to $50,000 in sales. These specific metrics matter as you'll need to be able to dive into the details, gather insights, and share them with others. And by discussing how these specifics informed your understanding of the campaign's performance, that's what it'll take to impress the interviewer enough to continue moving forward.
