How to approach this question

- Do you consider yourself a strong communicator? That's what the interviewer wants to understand by listening to both the details of your response and how you actually deliver your response to this question. It's kind of meta, right? You want to make sure you communicate clearly when answering questions related to your communication skills. The other major skill set that's being assessed here is your ability to collaborate with internal and external partners. Since communication is key to working well with others. There's three considerations to address when discussing how you craft an effective marketing message. Start with the desired outcome of the message. Beginning here helps you come across as strategic and thoughtful as each message has a purpose behind it and an end goal in mind. Next, explain that the message needs to be catered to the right audience. And that's an essential part of the process of creating each and every Tweet, podcast, or email. Include a specific example of each to make sure your answer is comprehensive enough and highlights some of your relevant experience. The third and final consideration is adapting a message to the medium. The nature of why you're trying to communicate will change based on how and where it's presented. For instance, you can mention how the tone of a message will differ on social media compared to a landing page or an email. In the end you could focus on one specific message to discuss in detail across each of these considerations. Or vary the examples you reference for each. It's all about covering the universal considerations a marketer should be aware of when crafting any kind of message. Include those and you're far more likely to get this question right.
