How Amy got a salary increase
- One of my favorite parts of writing the book is hearing from women who have actually used the advice in the book and it's benefited them in some way. A perfect example of this is a woman by the name of Amy who got a 30% salary increase and is now being paid at market. And when I asked her specifically what she did, what was the advice that she followed, here's what she had to say. "I knew my worth and showed it. "I knew what it would cost to replace me, "I had examples of the work I had done "over the last couple of months "and quotes from colleagues. "I reached out to fellow product managers "as well as researched on GlassDoor, "Women in Product, and LinkedIn "to find salary comparisons. "I waited for the right time, after a round of funding. "I asked the CEO for a meeting "so we both could come prepared. "I was strong and confident in my position "until we've reached a fair agreement."
