Host a private event during a major trade show
From the course: 21 Opportunities for Better Networking
Host a private event during a major trade show
- I know of some guys that host a giant party during a trade show. It costs them nothing and draws together a great network of people tied to their industry. They don't pay for anything. A bar is happy to see the venue full. The food trucks show up and they make money. And these guys get to pull together a couple hundred people that they want to network with anyhow. You can do the same. If a trade show event is in your town, then host drinks at your office. If you're at an event out of town, then you can look for a venue that will let you use the back room at a restaurant or a university club room if you're a member.
