- Hiring the right people is one of the cornerstones of building a customer-centric culture. You want people who embrace your culture and contribute to the customer service vision. Here's a three-step process to help you make smart hiring decisions. Step one is to create what's called an ideal candidate profile. This is a description of someone who aligns with your customer service vision. You create an ideal candidate profile by making two lists. The first list contains up to five characteristics an employee must have to be successful in your company, location, or team. You would not hire someone who did not possess them. These are attributes or qualities that would help the person contribute to our customer service vision rather than the skills or qualifications necessary to do a specific job.
