Handle emotional stress

- In life, when we undergo typical situations, it's reasonably easy to manage our stress. However, selling to the C-suite is anything but a normal situation. The term stress was actually coined by Hans Selye, a Canadian endocrinologist in 1975. Hans did many experiments about the effects of stress in particular prolonged stress. Selye first wrote about a phenomenon called GAS, general adaptation syndrome in the British journal of Nature in 1936. This syndrome is significant because it reinforced that we all have normal resistance to stressful events. Some of us can tolerate a great deal of stress and others much less but we all have a threshold at which stress starts to affect us. Our body will pass through three levels of coping. Let's review the three stages and then we will discuss a few ways to deal with the stress. One thing is for sure, stress will happen. So stage one is caused alarm.
