Growth to excel

- An important piece of the Buzz Flywheel is growth. When you're working to generate momentum, growth will be the most visible thing because it's the easiest thing for the world to see. When you drive growth, it naturally generates a buzz around it. Why is that? Because with growth of any kind, things start to happen. Think of it this way. When you do something that signals growth, it introduces your brain to new customers, new talent, and even the media. It tells the story of growth. And even existing customers and employees will feel it. Here are a few ways that you can signal growth, even if your business has a smaller budget. First, create a new partnership. Maybe you're using a new supplier or have a new channel you're using to sell your products. Take advantage of those opportunities by sharing the news far and wide. Even if it's standard business, it can still signal that you're growing. Another method is to make a big deal out of hiring. Hiring implies growth. When you have an open position, post it on social media. Or even share a quick press release. This can be especially powerful with key hires. And finally, share your wins, anything that will signal your business is moving forward and making things happen. Maybe it's a milestone of users or customers or even an anniversary. Celebrating these milestones publicly can manufacture the same buzz effect. For my company, Everbowl, each time we open a new location, we aim to generate maximum buzz. We invite the media. We share it on our social. We give out free food, which creates a big line outside. We then use the opportunity to generate content, and we can use that content strategically. So growth, it's a powerful piece of the Buzz Flywheel, and you'll be smart to make use of it.
