- GSA is the largest and premier buying vehicle for government agencies in the United States. GSA or General Services Administration is the acquisition arm of the federal government. It helps connect the private sector with the federal agencies. GSA is a streamline way to make buying from your company easier for agencies which ultimately is the goal in contracting with governments Many other countries have comparable schedules to GSA. For example, in Canada, many use what's called SALSA. You can explore schedules usually through your country's procurement websites. So if a potential buyer asks you, "Are you GSA?" they want to know if you're registered with GSA and on a schedule. GSA offers regulatory compliance, fair and reasonable pricing, fast order placement, full product and broad-service offerings.
