- With a business credit report, free credit reports are not required. There's no federal law that requires a business credit agency to disclose anything to the business owner. They don't have to give you a free credit report once a year, they don't have to give you information about which credit reporting agency they use to evaluate your application like they do with consumer credit. So you have to be very proactive. Until recently, it was very expensive for small business owners to check their business credit, but I'm going to give you a tool that will allow you to check and monitor your business credit for free, and better yet, it will have no impact on your business or personal credit scores.
