Four types of change

- Change is inevitable, but not all change is created equal. Researchers David Nadler and Michael Tushman identified two dimensions along which organizations change, continuous versus discontinuous, and reactionary versus anticipatory. And in their book, "Toolkit for Organizational Change" Tupper Cawsey and Gene Deszca dove deeper into these two dimensions, identifying four key types of organizational change. I want to walk you through the four types of change to help you understand what kinds of changes you're dealing with at your organization. The first two types identified are on the continuous side of the spectrum. Organizational tuning. Organizational tuning is change that is anticipatory and continuous.
