- So in this chapter, I want to introduce to you the first pillar for investing in your happiness, and that is the pillar of comfort. Well, what is comfort? If I had to really fast in, the word comfort actually comes from the word F-O-R-T, fort, as in fortitude, strength. Comfort is any activity or thought or behavior that gives you a sense of strength and feeling strong in your life. What does this look like? Well, cultivating comfort on the individual level can mean something as simple as getting enough, sleep, proper diet, food, exercise, all the things that most of us are aware of, but let's not forget, there are other forms of comfort you can take in your life that can help you experience that sense of strength.
