Forming partnerships as a freelancer

- As a freelancer, your most precious resource is time. If you're not doing work for a client, you're losing money. At the same time, you have to spend some time finding new clients or running the business itself. This time crunch and the competing desire to earn more can push freelancers to begin hiring full-time employees, and that can be expensive. Instead, you should first consider partnerships. Partnerships can help in two major ways when it comes to earning more. Partnerships allow you to take on more work, while keeping your costs low. Once you find partners you trust, you can either sell more of the same type of work you've been doing and contract that out, or you can expand your services. Let's look at an example. If you're a wedding videographer, you could get the job and then subcontract another videographer to complete the shooting or editing portion. Or, you could offer additional services like designing wedding invitations and subcontract that to a graphic design…
