(mellow music) - [Amy] My name is Amy. I'm a research engineer in Denver, and my question is what are tangible ways to find clarity when defining short and long-term career goals? And what are your best tips for personal branding to achieve career vision? - [Dorie] Hey Amy. You are asking about how to find clarity around both short-term goals and long-term goals. Let's start with the former. When it comes to short-term goals, my personal philosophy is that a good goal is one that you can actually accomplish in a six-month period, something that you want to be focusing on for six months and move the ball forward on demonstrably. Doesn't mean that you necessarily have to get everything done. For instance, it could be that in the next six months, I'm going to write a book proposal.
