From the course: Find Your Dream Job: Interview Techniques and Resume Writing

Find your dream job

- Hi, welcome to this course on how to get the job you want. It's such an important subject, and it really is worth getting it right, this could affect your whole life. And we're going to look at a number of sections. First of all, what's the best job for you? And this is a really difficult question. To be honest, I don't have a magic answer that will tell you the perfect job for you, but I've got some really interesting ideas that will help you think about what kind of job would suit you and what wouldn't. So we're going to just think about choosing the ideal job, then we're going to go into CVs, writing your CV or your resume, particularly things to avoid, because if you put something in your CV that isn't right, just one thing will get you ruled out. It's a sieving out process. So if you do something silly on your CV, you're out of the race. And that could be such a shame, 'cause you could be perfect for that job. Sometimes people take advice from their friends about CVs, "Always put it orange paper, it'll stand out", but that's not always good advice because do your friends really know? So we'll look at CVs, then we will look at the all important interviews itself. Things to do and not do at job interviews. What to do before the interview, during it, and after. And in particular, we're going to look at some of the difficult questions and I'm going to give you some great answers to all the difficult questions. We'll even look at what to do if you have to give a presentation during your interview. So we're going to cover everything you need to know about the interviews as well as the CVs. So let's get started.
