- [Instructor] If the break into three was the decision to act, then the finale is the implementation of that decision. This is where the hero puts their big new plan to fix everything and themselves into action. This is where heroes run through airports trying to stop the one they love from getting on a plane, where they storm the fortress trying to break their troops out of prison, where they jump out of their seat at the wedding and shout, "Don't marry her, marry me," and then profess their love in front of everyone. This is where the bad guys are defeated for good, the real criminal is caught and arrested, the case is closed, the Death Star is destroyed, and the world is saved. But most of all, this is where the hero proves that they really have learned the theme. It's one thing for them to say they've learned the theme. It's quite another for them to prove it. So, if the break into three is the hero declaring their new and improved self, the finale is then putting their money…
