Female journalists who pave the way
From the course: How to Become a Purpose-Driven Journalist
Female journalists who pave the way
- Barbara was really the pioneer in many ways, that we watched, but certainly Diane Sawyer, and I worked closely with Katie Couric for many years. Leslie Stahl, who was one of the first chief White House correspondents, then anchoring the morning show here at CBS News, and then 60 Minutes, the greatest journalistic program on television. And so Leslie's been a pioneer. Judy Woodruff, Andrea Mitchell of NBC News whose office was right next to mine and would come drop off presents for my children. They've all been both mentors and friends and women who I looked up to and said, I not only do I respect them, but I want to live up to the record of journalism that they've put forth over decades of their careers.
