Feedback loops and goals

- It can often be very challenging to receive feedback, whether it's about work or your personal relationships. When I was younger, I could barely take feedback. Before I could even hear out the person's perspective, I would start defending myself and my actions. In retrospect though, I missed out on a lot of growth opportunities because I couldn't listen to feedback in an objective and open-minded way. It also really wasn't fair to not allow people to voice their opinions. To create more opportunities for flow, two of the conditions include the need for feedback loops and the creation of goals. In a work context, it will be more challenging to shape your goals or reassess them if you can't first receive feedback from your colleagues.
