- If you're facing uncertainty on a national scale such as a hurricane, a pandemic, or another natural disaster, government and private sector support might be great avenues for you to look into. First, is going to be government and community support. Government support can come in the form of federal, province, or city support depending on where you live. Programs and infrastructure are specifically dedicated to small business and small business owners like you are always implemented after a natural disaster. This can look like grants, loans, or other special programs that are built specifically for you. I know my business is based in the United States so during Covid-19, we applied to a federal program called the Payroll Protection Program, or the PPP loan.
