- So, everyone thinks about, what do I do to prepare for an interview? And it is a lot about learning about the company and it is a lot about trying to understand the person and the questions that may come up. We also need to think about how we look when we walk in a room and the first impression that we make. So, I have a friend, and I was on a panel with her recently, and it was a panel of students and they asked a question about dressing up for an interview, and I was kind of surprised in this day and age of casual dressing that she said, think about wearing the best thing that you can to make you walk into that room and make a great first impression. And it kind of made me think, we should really own that. Even if you look a little overdressed for environment that is casual, you don't want to go way over.
