- Way back in 1977, the rock group The Eagles had a hit song called, "You Can't Hide Those Lyin' Eyes." Much like the subject in the song, our buyers have a built-in mechanism highly tuned to pick up on nonverbal communication. Guess what, you have that same sensitive machine inside your brain as well. There's no doubt that the words that we say are only a portion of our communication with other people. Our body language, including our eye contact, is another major component of communication.
