Exiting a conversation
- An impromptu conversation starter is different than a networking event. If you strike up a conversation with someone sitting next to you in an airport, a coffee line, or the doctor's office, your intention should not be to add them to your list of contacts. This is a brief encounter to begin with. If you followed the conversation starter formula and you have commented and engaged, it's fine to finish her interaction with enjoy the rest of your day or just a simple goodbye.
