- So we work really hard and tirelessly to pitch the media. It is not an easy process. You might have a list of 30 outlets that you pitch and you might get one or two back saying yes, I'm interested. You might not even get one or two back and then you have to do your follow ups. It's a process, so don't think that you're going to set out and get a placement tomorrow. You might, and that might be very lucky and that would mean you have a very good pitch. You have something that's timely and topical and is something the news media is looking for. Now let's talk about the public. The public is anyone who would be interested in your brand, you, your product. It can be the media, it could be members of the local community, it could be clients, potential clients, students, parents, millennials, you get the idea. So there's a lot of people out there. It's a big audience, and online outlets gauge their readership by UVMs.…
