Unemployment has been at record highs, businesses have been filing for bankruptcy, and some businesses have closed their doors forever. When economic downturns occur, businesses need to refocus their attention on their customers. The knee jerk reaction for most companies is to cut costs, reduce spending, and lay off employees. A lot of times these decisions are difficult ones, yet justified.
