Evaluating OKRs

- As you may have guessed, implementing effective OKRs is easier said than done. As a leader, you should be constantly evaluating whether or not the OKRs you've put in place are helping to achieve the outcomes you're hoping for. Before setting any OKRs, ask yourself if your company has any major goals you've already articulated. These goals may be related to revenue growth, new customers, or customer satisfaction. If you've already stated certain goals, your OKRs should stem from them. Then start small, and I mean small in terms of how many OKRs you're implementing. Company leadership, the CEO and VPs should create OKRs for the entire company, so that everyone feels like they're working in the same direction. The magic number is around three, but certainly no more than five. Revenue goals are common, so an OKR for an established company may be increase company revenue to $300,000 per month.
