Ethics in the real world

- I think the most important management concept that we should be discussing is ethics. How we behave as individuals and how we behave as businesses is becoming top of mind with people. Do well ethically, and you're going to have a good standing in the marketplace. Don't do well ethically, and we risk alienating the very people that we ought to be selling our products to. Hi, I'm Bob McGannon, and this is Business Ethics for Managers and Leaders. In this course, we're going to talk about those important ethical things. I'm going to use my 30 years of working as a leader in different businesses to help you refine your ethical framework. We're going to talk about ethics issues that aren't necessarily going to give you a black and white answer. We're going to talk about instances where you need to think through the possibilities, work through ethical gray areas, and I want to help you go through a process to choose the right answer. Continuing with CIO magazine, they have said, it's time for those business leaders who haven't already done so to do that hard work and put ethics and accountability where they belong, at the top of the value chain. That is our must-do business requirement, and that is the purpose of this course.
