Ethics in a diverse world

- My primary business experience is in the US and a few other Western countries. The thoughts and recommendations I talk about here are collected from that experience. However, ethical behavior varies even within the US. What's perceived as a commonplace communications style in one part of the country is perceived as rude and abrupt in another. It's important to understand that ethical behavior and norms will vary from company to company and country to country. As a result, I lay out my recommendations in the form of ethical structures and procedures that you can consider in your world. I give examples to illustrate a point, but once again, those examples will have varying degrees of applicability based on where you work and your local cultural norms. My goal is to give you tools and approaches so you can be more mindful of ethical expectations and can work with them to perform ethically in your business. That being said, I recommend you research and apply your local norms and expectations to the frameworks I suggest.
